The theatre group was established sometime last year, in 2006, when Sir Muinzer thought it a pretty great idea to stage his brainchild, The Singing Psychiatrist. This turned out to be a pretty successful venture and a couple of weeks at the post-mortem Psychiatrist do, it was decided that a second production - of an entirely different though equally enticing nature - was not only feasible, but necessary!

So, In The Glasshouse, a play written and directed by Ruth Kennedy, a Knightess so to speak, saw the light. The play was performed in three cultural venues in Belfast and attracted quite favourable press coverage.

After the second play followed the diagnosis: the Knights had caught the Theatre bug and were in fact so bitten by it that a third production was almost immediately scheduled.

The third play, The Wooing of the She Wolf, written by Jim Johnston, an admirable Knight and contemporary Troubadour - was a highly ambitious enterprise. The Knights as a Collective had to pull together to manage this show with 18 cast members, an impressive set and Shakespearean language... Fortunately, as follows from the inherent qualities of the round table principle, everyone gave their very best and the show thrived. The Knights are now preparing for their fifth production, Reservoir Cats after achieving successfully their first tragedy Antigone.

The Knights would like to invite all Beautiful Belfastians with a taste for Theatre, the Dramatic and (or) the Comic, to join us as we grow and learn with each production! Such is the simplicity of our Collective, of our ever-expanding wonderful pool of talent: one can be as involved as one chooses. Invest in us and we will invest in you: believe in us and yourself and there is nothing we cannot do.
